We value a growth mindset for all

    1. Every attempt will be made to maintain the dignity and self-respect of the scholar and the staff member.
    2. Scholars will be guided and expected to solve their problems without creating problems for anyone else.
    3. Scholars will be given opportunities to make decisions and live with good or bad consequences.
    4. Misbehavior will be handled with natural or logical consequences instead of punishment.
    5. Misbehavior will be viewed as an opportunity for individual problem-solving and preparation for the real world instead of a personal attack on the school or staff.
    6. Scholars are encouraged to request a “due process hearing” whenever consequences appear unfair.
    7. We will maintain systems that focus on positive relationships and a growth mindset to encourage and help foster a sense of positive self-worth for all scholars.

The above core beliefs outline the professional actions and attitudes of all staff members in this school.
